In 2005, The Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode initiatives were introduced to help curtail fraudulent transactions. X-Cart supports these initiatives since we are willing to provide a state of the art shopping system which helps to minimize fraud and chargebacks damaging to both customers and online businesses.

Benefits

1. Guaranteed payments on protected Visa transactions (about 85% / Business Cards, Pre-paid gift cards and some foreign issued cards are the only exclusions).

Since the software is built right in, registration for Cardinal Centinel is required to enable Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode inititatives. Cardinal's payment authentication service

Cardinal Centinel offers a single software solution that easily integrates with the merchant checkout process software and supports all of the payment authentication initiatives. In providing a unified interface for the unique data requirements of each initiative (Visa, MasterCard), Cardinal Centinel eliminates the need for merchants to implement multiple software components for each payment type. The software is also designed to easily accommodate future credit/debit card initiatives, such as American Express and Discover.
