The Struggle with Magento

We had our site active for three years but could never get it working correctly to be able to make any kind of sales. Just a big ol’ frustrating money pit with no ROI.

Magento was supposed to be the backbone of their business. Instead, it became the biggest obstacle. Pages took forever to load (when they loaded at all). And support was practically nonexistent because of a time zone gap with the developers in another part of the world.

Every small fix became a drawn-out process, and at some point, Lyle had enough.

Shift to X-Cart

Referred to the X-Cart Automotive platform by a trusted source, Lyle gave it a shot. The first thing that struck him was simplicity.

Control Over the Product Catalog

The Daily Driven Performance team also wanted control over their store and not a platform dictating their catalog. Bulk uploading from SEMA Data or ASAP Network didn’t fit their model since they’d spend more time deactivating unwanted products.

Instead, X-Cart’s ability to upload by brand and category gave them the flexibility they needed. While they weren’t sure about using it yet, knowing the option existed was reassuring.

Streamlining Order Fulfillment

Another concern was fulfillment. Daily Driven Performance placed orders manually with Premier and XDP outside of Magento, so they needed deep distributor integration. They also maintain their own stock (about 70% of it), so their workflow stays efficient with X-Cart’s inventory management setup.

Now, Daily Driven Performance is fully focused on online sales, and X-Cart is the engine powering that growth:
